+ rules
• Be polite. We're all here to have fun. Please don't ruin it for others.
• There is currently a maximum of five characters per player.
• We do not accept original characters or duplicates at this time. AUs, provided they exist in the character's canon, will be decided on a case-by-case basis, as will characters with a previous game history.
• Stay true to the canon nature of your character. Obviously character development is something that happens but, please, keep it realistic.
• Acitivty Checks will occur monthly and will be posted on the first of the month, with one week to respond. In order to pass, you must have one thread/log with at least four comments from your character.
• A hiatus is good for up to two weeks. If you feel you need to be gone longer, please speak with us.
• New characters must be introduced into the game within a week of being accepted.
• God-modding is strictly prohibited. Do not move another player's character unless you have direct permission. Also, metagaming (your character knowing things they have no feasible way of knowing) is forbidden.
• No canon puncturing. If your character meets another who they would, ICly, recognize as fictional, please simply have them look familiar in some capacity and leave it at that.
• At present, playing multiple characters from the same fandom will be decided on a case by case basis.
• Canon updates must be discussed with mods beforehand. Odds are it won't be allowed without a very good reason so do keep this in mind when choosing a canon point when applying.
• If your character has a real life PB associated with them (Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester from Supernatural, for example) you must use that PB. However, if the character is from two different fandoms (such as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games) you may choose to use the real life PB or pick one of your own provided they fit the general description of the character. [Note: We are not necessarily sticklers about this rule so, if this is a dealbreaker for you, please talk to us about it.]
• OOC drama of any kind will not be tolerated.
• In addition to the above rule, keep OOC issues in the OOC realm. In short, OOC =/= IC.
• Feel free to have adult threads/logs but please put them behind a cut and mark them accordingly.
• Pregnancies are allowed within semi-realistic limitations and must be cleared with the mods before the character discovers they are pregnant.
• Incest will be allowed if it appears in canon, and will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
• Character deaths are to be handled on a case-by-case basis and, unless your character can somehow return from the dead on their own (ie: Wolverine from X-Men), can be quite tricky. Please keep this in mind.
• We do not nerf powers, but we may discuss certain abilities a character possesses before accepting them to ensure they're a good fit for the game.
• IC actions have IC consequences, especially in this sort of game setting. Keep this in mind at all times.
• Plagiarism will not be tolerated in any way, shape or form.
• Plot all you want. That's the joy of this game. We just ask that major major plot points, or anything that will affect the mass population, be cleared with the mods first (mostly to ensure it won't be undoing/contradicting a game plot we already have planned).
• Please use the tags provided. We will, on occassion, check up on things and tags makes that a much easier process for all involved.
• Have fun. This really shouldn't have to be listed as a rule but that's really what this is all about. Have fun, let your hair down, and get creative. Don't let the rules scare you - most of them are simply common sense and the rest are negotiable provided it's handled with respect and understanding.
